Agricultural Wastewater

Poultry, livestock, and grain runoff in agricultural settings each provide their own unique challenges, but can be dewatered using a Poly Mate Polymer Injection Unit and a Sludge Mate Container Filter.

Once matched with the proper polymer and/or other coagulants, the wastewater from Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFO) can be stored and gradually dewatered for land application in compliance with federal regulations such as National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit, or those set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency.

Food Processing

The Sludge Mate Dewatering Container Filter and Poly Mate Polymer Injection Unit are both excellent components for the wastewater management of dairy wastewater, chicken rendering, fish and squid waste processing, and slaughterhouse wastewater.

Liquid Waste Haulers

A Sludge Mate Dewatering Container Filter is a great part of any liquid hauler’s business model. By dewatering the liquid waste being hauled, both the volume and frequency of trips to dispose of the sludge are greatly reduced. This in turn increases the amount that can be hauled with a set number of vacuum trucks.

Precious Resource Reclamation and Recycling

Construction Dewatering

In the case of construction maintenance wastewater is commonly the result of wash pits or hydro-pads which are used to collect the water used to clean off heavy equipment. This water, depending on its content can be sent through dewatering container filters, an oil water separator, or can be reclaimed and re-used using a Water Processing Unit.

Quarry & Mining Wastewater

Roll-Off Container Filters and Self Dumping Hoppers have the convenience necessary in many mine and quarry situations. They do not require the manpower and time it takes to reuse a geotube or dig an excavated barrier. At the same time, they can be simply moved around by forklift.

Automotive Maintenance Areas

Automotive maintenance areas and construction areas often require permitting for their wastewater due to the oil present in the wastewater. In the cases of automotive maintenance, an Oil Water Separator is required to remove the oil from water using coalescing media to agitate the water and weirs to skim the water off of the top. Leachate Wastewater

The treatment requirements for leachate from landfills depends on the contaminates and discharge requirements. Sanitary Landfill leachate is generally characterized by high total dissolved solids (TDS), heavy metals, high biological oxygen demand (BOD), and/or chemical oxygen demand (COD)- some very refractive- high ammonia, and color. Discharge is often carried out via discharge to a publicly owned treatment works (POTW) where it is mixed/diluted with wastewater. When diluted with biosolids this wastewater is a prime candidate for dewatering container filters. When undiluted, leachate can be treated through a water treatment system such as the Water Processing Unit- which replaces traditional reverse osmosis membranes with the more effective and durable ionic filtrate.

Septic & Portable Toilet Wastewater

When using vacuum trucks to haul septic wastewater it can quickly become necessary to remove any sort of potential clogs or jams (inorganics/debris) from the effluent before entering it into any kind of facility. The Large Debris Strainer is excellent for removing just these sorts of flushable wipes, rags, rocks, sticks, or stones. It simply connects to the hose coming out of the truck, and filters the effluent through a retractable bar screen contained within its chamber. The Debris Mate is the only dewatering container filter with a built-in bar screen. This makes it the perfect solution to a large volume of effluent containing inorganic materials (flushable wipes, sticks, rocks, etc.). Lagoon Wastewater

The Sludge Mate Dewatering Container Filter has been used in many wastewater lagoons, wastewater ponds, and catch basins. They can be used to dewater effluent before it enters the wastewater pond or lagoon to reduce the biological oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), or simply the volume of the wastewater pond. If used with a submersible pump, a Sludge Mate can also be used in dredging operations for wastewater ponds. This has proven particularly handy when repairs are needed to the clay or concrete foundation to maintain Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Wastewater Permit and Regulations.

Storm Drain Waste

Storm Drain Waste can wreak havoc inside of a municipal wastewater plant. The simplest and most direct solution is to dewater the grit and debris before it enters the plant. The Debris Mate is a dewatering container filter that solves the “flushable” wipes problem, as well as problems with rags, rocks, sticks, stones and generally any other kind of debris using a patented, built-in bar screen. A Roll-Off Container Filter is a tried and true solution to grit, sand, and other clog causing particulate. Lift Station Waste

Lift Station Waste can often be troublesome for the headworks of municipal wastewater plants as the wastewater is often full of inorganic grit and debris. Large clog causing debris such as sticks, stones, rocks, prophylactic rubber, “flushable” wipes, and rags can easily be handled with the Debris Mate-the world’s first dewatering container filter with a built-in bar screen. Whenever a vacuum truck is used The Large Debris Strainer can also be used. It simply filters large debris inside of its enclosed container through its retractable bar screen, allowing the remaining wastewater to flow out the other side. Grease Trap Waste

Grease Trap Waste is typically lipid heavy and must be treated in a holding tank- in many cases a frac tank- using lime to raise the ph to a level where polymer will be able to bind to it. An alternative is to mix (dilute) it with biosolid sludge. After this has occurred, and the appropriate polymer has been matched to it, the sludge can be pumped through a Poly Mate or Lime Mate Polymer Injection Unit and into a Sludge Mate Container Filter for dewatering.

Surface Wastewater

Alum, Ferric, and Lime are all common coagulants used to treat the ph level as well as the lipid or colloidal nature of various consistencies of surface wastewater. All of the resulting sludges and slurries can be matched and blended with a polymer for dewatering in a Sludge Mate Dewatering Container Filter.

Municipal Wastewater

Container Filters are an economic solution for the everyday needs of wastewater treatment plants. Municipal dewatering can benefit from the use of dewatering containers in place of drying beds, which are weather dependent and require significant amounts of labor and bed media such as sand.
